Simple answer is no. Just raising the octane does not add any power, gas is gas. What increased octane adds is a slower burn and resistance to detonation but not any more power. It does need more advance than a lower octane.


What the higher octane does allow is either higher compression (mechanical change, or more boost from the supercharger if it is capable and can be done with a tune.


But just raising the octane does not add any power unless already having a detonation problem.
