Actually was a lot more than $700, that was the buyer's commission, Mecom gets it off the top & bottom and then there is the consignment fee.


Seller's commission is 5% (no reserve) or 10% (with reserve) and the consignment (entry) fee is between $500 and $1500 depending on options and the time it crosses the block.


So best case & no reserve the seller netted $6650. And then there was any transportation costs plus Florida T,T,&T.


Now special people get special consideration but it is unlikely that anyone here is one of those.
