I was curious since the Michelin are run flats so can not air down, but they performed better than the gmax, dws, dsw 06, good years and sumitos's.

The wide 285's work great on snow / ice Co ered roads, always like more to contact the better and more biting edges, narrow tires do not help when there is nothing g to get down to.
See alot of people do not know the difference in tires, and running summer only tires in winter, and there vehicle is a handful, summer only tires are not good under 40°
similar story, new Tigerpaws on the rear turned my Xfire into a completely different car. I had to get the Summer only Cooper Zeons that were on it when i bought it off of it. Snow and ice are much easier to navigate.
which means that i successfully made it 60+ miles on the interstate on snow covered roads without having to use my wife's ford Focus.
