Sounds like someone has an overstock of new cars. Merc has been using the NAG-1 tranny since the start of this century in almost all of their light and middleweight cars. Are two of them, small case and large case & pretty sure the Crossie uses the small case.


Are some things I'd want to do to one from a recycling center (e.g. replace the plate) since easy when on the bench but is nothing serious.


Might ask around but suspect even some Jeeps used the same tranny (my GC has a large case).


Find an indy who knows mercs but is really no big.
