Default OCO June 16-17, 2018 Niagara Falls tour NOTL region

The Ontario Crossfire Owners group will be holding an event in the beautiful Niagara Fall region. If you would like to attend book your hotel now as rooms are limited.
Please rsvp here as we need to know how many will be attending for restaurants and events

We already have Crossfire owners coming from as a far way as Florida.
More details to follow but in the meantime here the the preliminary itinerary for the weekend

Niagara on the Lake EVENT June 16-17m 2018

Itinerary:
Hotel Accommodation Nights of June 15, 16 depart Sunday June 17, 2018. Blocks of rooms will be held until May 30, 2018 under the name Ontario Crossfire Owners
Option 1: South Landing Inn, Queenston, NOTL. Close to everything.
Option 2 : Hilton Garden Inn Glendale Exit off QEW NOTL, new hotel with restaurant
Friday arrival June 15 and check in at South Landing Inn Queenston, Niagara on the Lake. Located at the corner of Kent and Front St. South (905-262-4634). www.southlandinginn.com.
Option 1 is South Landing Inn: Room rates have been offered to the OCO group at a discount at the following rates. First come first served as there is limited availability with the hotel having only 24 rooms. 8 queens at $159.00 per night, 11 double queens at $179.00 per night and 4 suites with doubles at $189.00 per night will be available. Full breakfast included. These rooms will be available now and any rooms not booked will be released one moth prior to our date. Please book early to avid disappointment. The season in the Niagara area heats up this time of year.
Option 2 would be the Hilton Garden Inn, 500 York RD., NOTL. They will hold up to 15 rooms at $229.00 per night Rooms are either 1 King or 2 queens, breakfast not included. niagaraonthelake.hgi.com. The cut-off date for the Hilton Garden Inn is May 18th.

Friday June 15, 2018
Arrival and free time given the distance many OCO’s will need for travel. Meet and Greet, dinner, snacks, bar at Prince of Wales Hotel, PUB (Corner of Queens St and King St)., 10- 15 min, drive from the hotel along Niagara River Parkway for food and libations from 7-9 at the pub bar. Reasonably priced and good food in the pub. We are expected, there will be entertainment on our behalf

Saturday: June 16, 2018
9 AM Depart hotel as a group for DRIVE the Niagara River Parkway to Ft Erie Fort and return back along the Niagara Parkway
10:45 AM, Arrive at Niagara Falls, Park at designated parking lot as you enter the Falls are on the left hand side (Cost $20.00) and walkabout view of the Niagara Falls.
11:00 to 1:00 free time for lunch and be a Niagara falls Tourist. There are many options for lunch; Tim Horton’s has 2 locations, one right at the Falls and another about 100 yards towards Clifton Hill on the left side. There is also a Sushi store in the Welcome centre for the sushi lovers. In addition on the second floor is Elements on the Falls Restaurant with very nice views of the Falls. There is also a very nice restaurant above the second Tim Horton’s called Queen Victoria Place restaurant, fabulous outdoor covered patio overlooking the Falls, Very Nice and the food is pretty good as well
1:15 PM, Sharp, leave the parking area and depart for Peller Estates Winery, John St, Off Niagara River Parkway, cruise along Niagara parkway to John St turn Left (approximately 30 to 40 min drive) First left after East West Line and about 3 Kms past the Smallest church in the world. We will park on the side of Main driveway on the right side facing the facility. (Pre-arranged)
2:00 Winery tour and tasting 45 Min, tour Peller Vineyard, Barrel Room and sample 4 wines. $30.00 PP plus HST
3:00: The BIG Cheese and Wine pairing and demonstration (Peller Estates) $35.00 PP plus HST. Wrap up at Peller at 4:00 PM
4:00 day tour complete and free time before dinner
6:00- 6:30 Reservation at the Sand Trap Pub and Grill (905-468-8727)at 358 Mary Street, Niagara on the Lake, Comfortable local Pub restaurant with good food, active bar and casual

Sunday
Morning Free Time, enjoy one of the many sites in Niagara on the lake or Niagara Falls
Lunch wrap up: 12:00 meet at the Oast Brewery for lunch 2017 Niagara Stone Road Niagara on the lake (289-868-96270
After Lunch: Walk the village and tour some of the old town’s heritage, well worth the look see and especially the view of the American fort across the Niagara River.
Additional interests:
Outlet mall at Glendale, Bench wineries Vineland (beautiful drive along highway 20 worth the detour Jordan Village and the Vineland Bench wineries are near Hwy 8, It is Hwy 8 that goes to Jordan and then on through the Jordan hollow through Vineland, Beamsville and Grimsby.

There are costs involved for the Peller events:
Peller Wine tasting and tour $30.00, Peller Cheese and Wine tasting $35.00
Total $65.00
HST $ 8.45
Total $73.45 per person
Ned will be looking after receiving the Peller Charges of $73.45 PP. These admission fees can be sent either by e-transfer to nedjackson14@gmail.com (use crossfire as the password) or a check mailed to George Jackson (I go by Ned but my actual given name is George) 17 Hickory Ave., RR101, St. Davids, Ont. L0S 1J1. Deadline May 31st for final attendance count.
