Re: Crossfire Success Stories
Like others before me in this thread, our 2007 XFire Limited Coupe has been an absolute joy to own. We get compliments everywhere we take it. Latest event was at a Coffee & Cars in late JAN. We use the car typically for weekend getaways - trips that represent a day-trip (< 2-3 hrs one-way) or a weekend overnight (>= 3 hrs one-way). And with the wife having retired last year & me working from home for an employer that has an unlimited vacation policy (as long as work isn't impacted), we're starting to take more trips. I know I've posted the attached documents in other threads, but doing them again here is further testament to car's overall reliability & operating costs the 9+ years we've owned it.
While we've driven the car mostly on weekend trips (e.g., ToD GTGs), we have taken the car to visit our youngest son & family in Brownsburg, IN (NW of Indianapolis), to Carlisle, PA for the Chrysler Nationals, to KCMO to visit family, and to CAA events (01 & 08). During all these trips, the car has performed extremely well and been a joy to drive. And owning this car has allowed us to make friends with other owners that have the same passion for the marque like we do. Might be the best ownership success story!
PS: Added pictures of dead pedal I installed, which is an example of things I've done to give the car some improvement w/o impacting that "factory fresh" appearance.
