Its a comp claim dave, won't go against you. I'd get it replaced, just tell them you want a dealer to do it. Most repairs I've seen end up splitting anyway. As for your deductible, I'd ask about a "0" deductible. Its just a few dollars more every six months, then you pay nothing. Call me if you get stuck.
