I haven't had a car in 15 years that required me to turn on and off the lights! I would love daytime running lights. I suspect the difference is the light switch. I did a little research and it seams that the switch is what controls all the exterior lighting, including the circuit to turn on the lights when you exit the car.
Please let me know what you find on this topic... seems I"m the only one who is annoyed with this feature.

I agree I haven't had to turn lights on/off in over 20 years. This is the little stuff that we expect in a car over 20K and since this is about double that it should have it. I don't want to hear any BS about sports cars. It dose not take away from performance ask any Vette owner.
