It is exactly what it sounds like.. all locks are vacuum operated .. and there is one on the center console.. helps keep honest people honest when you leave the top down and lock the car..
Is it possible that while the mechanic was removing the center console to check the issue behind my shift *** being stuck in Park, he damaged that lock and is trying to trick me into believing it is somehow integrated with the shift assembly?
