When I took my console out to replace the cupholder with the storage bin, I was able to pull off the cover plate for the passenger airbag indicator between the cig lighter and the ash tray. I was then able to get at the hot wire behind the lighter and put a tap on it which I then ran to my Sirius radio. Now, no more exposed wires and a cig lighter that I can actually use for its intended purpose or to plug in my cell charger.
