Default Re: Plastic Channel on Roof Peeling

The suggestions above are all good and each has a slight variation; tape (chrome OR stainless); paint (body color). I have two additional variations I have used: buff the stainless strips and clearcoat them; latest version was to strip the clearcoat from the buffed stainless version and repaint them the SAME color as the trim accent. This looks great as it appears as a natural extension of the cars lines/trim. It also 'matches' the wheels and thus appears as a natural look to the car and not an afterthought. My SRT is Graphite Metallic and the grey trim and now grey roof strips look natural and accentuate the car nicely, obviously some other car colors may not have the same results. Painting the roof strips is not difficult, but be very careful not to bend them while working with them.

BTY, the repainted grey roof strips look like a natural extension of the windshield trim and honestly looks like the car should have been painted this way originally !
