Several years ago I did that with 4 fans also and decided that the change was not worthy of the effort. Thats when I made a bigger heat exchanger and then went to the aluminum radiator now known as the super cooler. The smallish heat exchanger does not allow the water to cool much as it has such a great rate of flow due to the small passages. Its location also is not making use of the engine fan to draw in more air.

Another thing that helps is with a split cooler design, using like 30% antifreeze and corrosion inhibitor allows better heat transfer. Antifreeze dilutes the waters ability to carry heat away. Enjoy, Woody
