I took the tire off and found the crack on the rim. It was on the edge of the inside, right where you guys said it would be.
Does this aactually require replacement? Would a little silicone or something heavier (i.e. JB weld) on the outside work? If not, is there a fix that a tire place could do with the tire dismounted?
I personally would not use a J-weld for this.
However, there are usually local shops that can weld it, turn it smooth as new, and rebalance the wheel..
