Default Re: Electrical problems

It turned out that is was a bad battery. I did wind up getting stranded and calling a tow truck. I got it home and took the battery ( which was 6 months old) back to Advance Autoparts where I bought it. They tested it and said it was perfect. Then I took it to the dealer. They said it sounded like a bad battery. I told them it was only 6 months old and was tested twice not to mention that it quit while it was already running. It took 2 weeks for the dealer to determine that it was indeed the battery and it had a small crack and a short in it. After a lot of complaining to Advance Autoparts I finally got them to give me a new battery. If they would have found the bad battery during one of their “tests” it would have saved me $160 labor and $80 towing. Fooled me too because I never knew a car could quit running from a bad battery while you were driving it. Thanks everyone for your advice. A couple of you called it as a bad battery.
