OK both 700 and 715 are generic codes.
"This is an informational DTC letting you know that a DTC(s) is stored in the Transmission Control Module.
Erase this DTC from the PCM after all Transmission DTC(s) have been repaired.
Using the DRB IIIT, read the Transmission Controller DTC and refer to the Transmission Category and perform the appropriate symptom."

I have seen a number of these and it takes a Mercedes scan tool for an SLK320 to diagnose.
The least expensive I have found is an Autel DiagLink with the BENZ module.
But to scan properly you cannot use a generic OBD II scanner.
ps the control module for the shifter is under the console lid and is VERY susceptible to water (a convertible you can't get wet, only the Germans). If just water it may dry out. Until it does you need a circular device to get out of Park.
