I am looking for a local import repair shop. So far, no luck. It’s a coupe that is stored inside so water in the shifter is not the issue and the shift lever functions as far as being able to move it from park to R, N or D. My friend owns a shop and ran a scan showing a few tranny electronic malfunction codes and referred me to a tranny shop that says they don’t do Mercedes work. Somebody earlier mentioned a “limp” mode and that seems the most logical explanation for why it won’t shift thus far. Sounds like I’ll have to take it to someone with the right diagnosis scanner. I was hoping there was an easy fix like the one I’ve seen where the computer module board needs resoldered.
