Default Problems with new headunit installation

Good morning everyone,

I have been trying to wire up my new Pioneer AVH 3300NEX without much success. At first I wired up everything as I did in my previous headunit installs on other cars. The headunit was powering on with no sound and it would not keep memory once the car is turned off. I also noticed that I had to plug in the blue wire to get the Amp in my limited to power up. Got some sound but it is very thin and super low at max volume. It is not listenable. Something is wrong. Then I also noticed after reading the sticky threads that I should wire up the power red and memory yellow differently. Do I need to interchange the the wires in the plug of the harness or do I hook up the red with the yellow and the yellow with the red? I tried the latter and now my headunit does not even power up. I did not hook up the small wires for the speakers as I am using the 4 volt pre-amp rca outputs.

Please help me. I have been clueless about my problems with the install for the last few days. When I put the stock headunit back on everything works as it should.

Thank you kindly,
Alex
