There is another DIY write-up on how to fix the Heat & Cooling Control Module in the front console. Prior to this write-up, nearly everyone replaced the control unit with another (new or salvage yard). The write-up shows very explicit pictures with step-by-step instructions on how to repair the system control unit & save significant bucks.
