It really did not take too much time, I never rushed the job along at all as I had all winter to do it.
It helps to be good with a file and have a good supply of various file types.k The nerve racking part was using the router table to make the parts to size and fit together nicely, one slip and the part can get ruined. You have to know which way to feed the part against the cutter, go the wrong way and the cutter will grab the part and wreck it and your fingers too if you are not careful. Simple fixtures help to cut the parts smoothly with cuts of even depth. I was going to do a thread on cutting, machining and gluing the parts, maybe I’ll get to that sometime.
