When we were teens, remember how we used to reach under and tap the starter and solenoid with a hammer to get it to kick in and start working. I remember doing this for a month before I saved up enough for a rebuilt starter. Good luck with it Bob.
My service manual (page#858) says you'll need to disconnect the passenger side O2 sensor, and remove the right side exhaust pipe. That's what makes a relatively easy job into a PITA job.
