I have aired down rears but can not do it with the current michelins.
last winter I got caught in a snow storm and they surprised me, many many cars, trucks and semi's in the ditch, but I made it home and was driving straight when I seem many others sideways.
and I just have all season tires.
I use 285/35 on wider aftermarket wheels, I want the most contact and the most biting edges I can get.

On a side note, how well does that width fit ?. Is there much rubbing ?.
P.S. - Where did you get them ? it is tricky finding wheels for this car.
