A trick to find the gap between doors and door jams, or air cleaner box and hood, is to use Silly Putty on one surface with the other side of the putty covered with plastic wrap. Shut the door or hood and it will squash the putty to the thickness of the gap. The plastic wrap stops the putty from sticking on the surface on that side.
I may have to do it this way, I have had the rockers off before to clean them and broke some of the clips, so I had better get some of them before I attempt it.
I prefer the license plate light as I think the stick on ones are a bit tacky.��
