Try using a hair blow dryer. Start off with med. heat. Point the dryer at the crease and smooth it with your other hand. If it doesn't work try switching to high heat. Be careful not to get too close or you may damage the top. The heat will expand the fibers in the top and it should help smooth of the creases.
