I know this is a slippery subject but just adding $.02 more; I've used Fram part #XG8481 (Fram "Ultra" Premium Oil Filter, "dual layer synthetic media reinforced with a durable metal screen...".) Found it @ Walmart awhile back, Made in USA & hopefully still is. (not knocking Mann or Mahle, just saying...Fram has various quality levels.)
WARNING; open before purchase because I found one that some Butt Hole had swapped the cheap Chinese model into the "Ultra" box.
