Re: Do it yourself DIY Belt Wrap Kit for less than $25
Well SRT6 fans, I just completed this mod. It was fairly easy to get it done. Good news are that I don't have anymore belt slip. Bad news is that unfortunately I'm still experiencing the same low boost readings issue. I'm not getting more than 13 psi at WOT and 8-10 psi at normal acceleration respectively. I also replaced the serpentine belt and the big stock smooth pulley underneath the s/c pulley. The new smooth pulley is smaller than the stock one which provide better clearance between the belt. I bought it from Auto Zone, part #89098. In the case of the top idler closer to the s/c pulley, I smoothed it out enough so the grooves don't cause any damage to the belt. See the pictures attached.
In the other hand, today I will take some time to replace the s/c oil. I'm still looking what is causing the low boost on my car. The issue started upon I installed the NeedsWings OilAir Separator. I have verified the whole installation process but there's nothing wrong with it. Last option will be to check the Y pipe for any leak. Let me know guys what you think about it, any help would be appreciated.
