I have dig into the bigger axles as much as i think i can. Here is what i found
1. srt axles are .98 in dia. but are they stronger?
2. 04 ,05,06. most limited axles are the same but
3. 2007 & 2008 seem to be the LARGER axles. 1.25
4 I have only checked 2 both 08's and both had the larger axles.
if you look on ebay at the srt 6 axles you will see the size drops down at the rubber cover
if you look at a 07 or 08 limited you will see the shaft between boots, the axle shaft does not change.
do your own research as i am not 100% sure this is true,, I do have two sets of the larger axles, one for my new V8 and one set for my c320 wagon. hope this helps the members that want or need the larger axles.,,
Oh do you see the ring that is welded on all the so called srt 6 axles ,, like they use to be a two piece axle
The axles are the same left and right,,( driver and passenger)
