There were two primary considerations: (1) weight. The smaller wheels are lighter. (2) price of tires. They cost much less. I love the Bridgestones; so I haven't considered any other tire. I could run 245/40x17 in the front, and may try them in the future. Also, 275/35x18 in the back will work. With your mods, what class are you in?
