Texex91--Thank goodness you don't live in a state where it really gets hot!! Just kidding.

I second what has been said by others, a first year build is a crap shoot until DC gets enough data to know that they have a serious issue with a part or assembly point. I am sure that 99.44% of the car is perfect, so just ride this out and maybe everything else will be ok. I still carry spare input and output tranny sensors in the glovebox of my M because they had so many fail in the first year build. When they fail the car goes into limp mode [2nd gear ]. I'm five years in the car now and still waiting for it to happen the first time. You can just never tell what they were given to put in the car and when it will fail. At least your part failed at a time when DC must be very interested in making a correction.
