It's based on temperature, then I'd be looking at the conductor plate connection, then the conductor plate.

They are a well-respected shop specializing in European nameplates (90% Mercedes or BMW) that swear they checked the level correctly with the specialized dipstick tool.
I cleared the P0505 code again last night and so far has not returned after 30 miles of driving. But I have a call into the shop to drop it off tonight for further evaluation
