Back in the 60's, you could get an "unsilenced" air cleaner on any HP Mopar engine from a 273 to a 440. I think even the 225 cu. in. "Slant 6" with a "Hyper Pac" kit had one too.
I have to admit, they did sound pretty good. I just don't know how good it would sound on our Mercedes V6.
