Hey everyone! Many, many years after I first saw a Crossfire, one is now parked in my garage... and it's gorgeous. Inferno Red Metallic, 52K original miles... and a manual transmission! My summer goal for this year was to finally learn to drive a stick, and I wanted a car to practice on. When I looked around for what was out there, amidst a sea of stripped-down econo-boxes, I found this beauty. I think it was meant to be. I took it home.
But I have discovered that it does have some quirks! After a diagnostic from my local repair shop, it was discovered that the Body Control Module (BCM) is freaking out and causing a host of issues that would scare most sensible people. After digging through some threads on this forum (I did my homework), it sounds like I might be able to replace it with a used module and have it work out as long as I let it "learn" the VIN via the ignition key setup protocols... Does that sound correct? Until I get this sorted, the car is essentially bricked, and that's sad... It's too beautiful to be a brick. Any advice here would be much appreciated. I really want to drive this thing! And wash it! And give it a name other than "Veruca Salt", which is just temporary while it's throwing this BCM tantrum.
Either way, I'm really happy to be here!

Oohhh yes. Finally a Crossfire! In exactly the color I wanted. It makes the red Accord Coupe (not mine) look so tame.
Don't care how, I want it now! Oh wait, I got it!
Good luck, everybody else!
