Yes, There is a fan in the box with the ECM. Check that first, but I'm willing to bet your problem is CPS Crank Position Sensor. That happen to me in 2005 shortly after I bought mine. Had not happen since and I have a lot of miles on mine. But if it is the ECM over heating, the fan has died in that box.
