I don't think it is that simple. It is not just a matter of tapping in some where bit's the right somewhere. I had the map light switch apart today as I put in LED's. There is a 4 wire feed to the switch. I suspect this switch will carry a steady positive feed, as well as a feed for the slider switch, and the passenger door switch, as well as a ground. The wire I need to tap into has to be the right one or the "new" lights will not activate properly. They have to get the feed from all sources, each door and map light switch, at the correct time for it to work properly. I don't want to start poking at wiring with a "let's try this" take on things. Does anyone know for sure what will work? There are these "computers" that run things which concern me.
