If you are concerned about driving in the rain do not run tires wider than those recommended on the door frame. The wider the tire the greater the chance of hydro planning. I run Michelin Pilot A/S3+ just for that reason. They run good dry or wet. When it is raining hard keep it at 55mph. I was coming out of Birmingham one afternoon in a good rain driving an eighteen wheeler and running 55 just because of the rain.
