Just for reference, there were several mudslides this past weekend on Hwy 19/74 in Nantahala Gorge area. Highway was blocked since Sunday and DOT work crews, working around the clock, just cleared roadway late yesterday. Area received 3.5" of rain on Saturday, which triggered the mudslides. Highway is open but still considerable work ongoing to stabilize Right of Ways where needed.

Crossfire ToD event is still 5-6 weeks away, but thought it might be worth mentioning as the area could still have some instability along Right of Ways for some of the roadways. Especially with more rain between now & the weekend event.
