Its not just the Key it all the stuff associated with the skreem and everything that can have you stranded on the side of the road. I can buy a 1971 Plymouth key atlock smith or Walmart not for this car. thats what we are all complaining about . everything that we need to have our cars start reliably as these cars age is not available like the mechanical part you can buy from most every auto part stores. We are all complaining about how we are being gouged and ripped off on the electrical parts. I can go on line and buy 2 New Chevy flipkeys on ebay for $39 bucks yet for this Crossfire the price is higher than a Rolls Royce or aston Martin key thats whats crazy and I own a 2011 Mustang I bought 2 volkwagen type flip keys that I linked and programed to my mustang for $39 bucks I did it myself that is what we are all complaining about the keys are worth more than the car like fine jewelry done dare loose your keys your screwed !!! in this car if you drop in in the water you can not get a cheap replacement like I can get for a newer car. thats what is crazy owning this Crossfire. Im not worried about the security on a 15 yr old car thats why I have insurance to cover a stolen car not for a dam key !! we are upset that the parts needed to keep our car on the road are not available to us who bought these cars in good faith. Mercedes killed these cars when they sold Chrysler to Fiat. And to the guys who feel those of us who bought these cars used or at a price range we all could afford make slury comments and I wont mention who you are you know who you are .As I said b4 I thought this was a non judgement forum I thought we were all here to help each other and support the love of these cars and cars in general. I never thought this car was as expensive as I is perhaps I would have considered a Mercedes SLK instead of a Chrysler Crossfire because I loved the Crossfire more. We need to find someone who would be willing to disable the skreem so we can use our keys or and aftermarket key with no need for a transponder !!!
