She was ready to take me from Sea Level to 6,200 ft up the mountain from Palm Springs, CA to Idyllwild, where I live. It;s a fun drive She laughs at the 30mph signs on the curves. Then "clunk" and something didn't feel right. When the TPS and tracking control lights came on I knew I had a flat. It was the left rear. Fortunately I hadn't started up yet. A tow truck came in 5 minutes (imagine that) and took me to the nearest tire store. Up on the rack it was a horror story. Belts showing through on the inside of both rears. From the outside they looked great. Both has a lot of tread left. I was lucky it happened where it did. She would have gone down the mountain, nose first. The front tires are great, no sign of uneven wear.
One hour later and all was good. Now for an alignment and clean the greasy hand prints off the rims. That was a close one! Check your tires, even is they look good !
