top not operational on recently purchased 05--have no history of the car---runs, drives fine, bad paint ,nasty interior, etc, all to be corrected later--- just started checking top problems---have read all the top problem/suggestions/solutions on the forum, and checked for obvious problems----fuses all ok, done the top resync procedure,tested windshield header switch,switch above pass shoulder, and shorted the divider switch leads together as the switch is bad.-- windows dont go down when handle is turned, and top pulled away from windshield..In reading more about top problems, I realized that the tonneau cover must be locked when starting top operation -mine will not lock down.-I have the top released at the windshield, back window secured standing vertical ,and tonneau secured open---I can turn the latch to the open position with the 10 mm wrench, but as I lower the tonneau, the hydraulic cylinder pushes the latch past the locked position, so the tonneau cant lock---it appears that the system is pressurized, but I have never heard the pump run, and top can be manually raised/ lowered ok. I can turn the latch manually with the wrench from lock to unlock ok ---what am I overlooking???bad latch???why the apparent cylinder pressure??Help please---Leroy
