If you are getting internal sensors, you do not need the valve stems.
I got external sensors, they are just large valve caps.
The stems I use are bolt in, short, so the caps do not stick outside of the wheels.
Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. It's obvious that the internal sensor kit doesn't require alternate valve stems..
Since I bought
both systems, trying to decide which one to go with. Those very short stems in the picture are what I'm curious about. I haven't seen the cap sensors in person and don't know if a very short stem will allow those sensors enough clearance to be installed..
