Thanks for the pic and info. I did get the pin and retaining clip back on after changing the clutch ... I remember part this because it was a bear to get the holes aligned and on correctly!

With the way the brass colored bar is sitting on the drive shaft, it looks like something else broke or I did not have the retaining clip on correctly, allowing the linkage rod to come off. Once the rain lets up I'll get underneath and take a closer look.

Meanwhile I'll be searching for a replacement assembly!
