Most likely, there's an over current limit switch in the motor control module that stops the motor in case the spoiler gets hung up. It's a safety device to keep the spoiler, motor, fingers or any of your other body parts from getting damaged (your girlfriend wouldn't like that). My advice would be to STOP PLAYING WITH IT....!
