I recently bought a 2005 SRT-6 and started hearing a clunking noise when driving over train tracks or bumps. I first though the rear hatch lid was loose and making the noise but it wasn't the problem. I took the car to my local shop and they found the rear sub frame has a bushing that rotted and fell apart. They are telling me the entire rear suspension, differential , axles, brakes and wheels will need removed to replace it. Has anyone else had this problem and had it repaired? Feedback please. The car also wanders in the rear while driving on a straight road.
