First thing I did was just use it to scan each of the wheel sensors directly to see if they were all broadcasting. What do you know, it read all of the sensors on the Subaru and showed that the battery was very low on one of them. Later, it wouldn't even read the one with the low battery. So now I know which one to replace.
I then checked the wheels on my other 2 subarus, my grand Cherokee and my crossfire. It was able to read all the sensors, but interestingly enough, it would not detect the back wheels on my crossfire, only the front ones. I assume the sensors in the back wheels are bad, but I'm not receiving any notification about it the dash. I just got my srt6 so I don't know if someone disabled the tpms or not. I plan to look into that some more later.
So far I have only used the tool to directly scan the sensors on each wheel. Supposedly it can read the sensor codes and write them to a cars tpms module or computer on some cars. I don't know if it can on the crossfire. It can also clone the existing sensor code onto a new sensor, but only the autel ones. I figure that gives me 2 options. I'll report back if I ever figure that out for our crossfires.
