My money holder (ashtray) stopped staying closed after a holiday and handing out change to homeless in the area.
Didnt want the thing sitting open while I was shopping and convertible top is always down .... so my instant fix on the spot worked great.
I like your permanent fix, and will make similar repairs soon.
