Added the secondary ground strap to the rear of the bell housing, direct to the battery as per the Forum recommendation. Bought a 36 inch eye to eye 4 ga strap and put a wire loom around it. I like to make everything neat and look factory if it isn't. Put the loom on it before you install it as it is a little tricky around the exhaust and heat shield. Pretty cheap insurance for our electrically sensitive toys. Only an hour and that included the coffee break.
Nice work! I followed James1549's exact recommendation & routed the ground cable up & over the heat shield, between the firewall & battery, around the battery and connected to the factory negative battery clamp using the spare threaded post. Secured with a 6 mm flare nut. And I also slipped a cable loom over the ground cable from the bell housing connection up & over the heat shield. Somewhat longer routing, which is why we used a 40 inch long cable.
Like you, I think this is one of the simplest & most effective upgrades an owner can perform on the Crossfire.
