A matter of the loss between the engine and the wheels.
say a engine makes 200 flywheel hp
then Automatic transmission will use 25 - 35 % of that power before it get to the tail shaft of the trans
standard manual trans is 15 - 25 % but with the massive dual mass flywheel it is the top of that range.
then driveshaft angle play in, bearings, gearing, etc etc etc etc etc
Everything is rotational weight, and every tenth of a pound of rotational weight is about ten pounds of static weight.
