Dave - What I'm trying to achieve is to keep my cluster that's in my car so that my mileage and the other items all work as they do now. I just want to change the face plate on my gauge cluster to one that has the white faced gauges that the SLK 320's have. By changing just the face plate I think everything else will keep working fine and the mileage will be correct. What I don't know (among many other things) is if another model Mercedes gauge face plate will work on the XF gauge cluster. I've seen MB model 230 clusters advertised but don't know if they are the same as the 320's or the XF's. I'm assuming, I hope correctly, that just the face plate can be changed. It appears to be a seppart item from what I've seen and seems like it should interchange on re-assembly.
