Re: Crankshaft Position Sensor or Camshaft Position Sensor
I am trying to fix the car running fine then it starts to run rough with no power, then it stalls. After everything get a chance to cool off the car then starts and runs fine again. I had to wait maybe 10 minutes before it started. Other then this issue the car runs with no issues. It is an 05 convertible with 49000 miles. I saw in another thread someone else had the same problem when they changed the crankshaft position sensor some time ago as I was just reading the forum for any information I might be able to use on anything. I cannot find the thread nor remember what the solution was. The car was idling at 600-700 rpm since I got the car in 05. The change happened when I put a brand new sensor in. Could I have a bad sensor. I changed back to the original sensor that came with the car in 05 and idled at 600-700 rpm as before. I do not plan to take the car out of the garage until the sensor is replaced with a new one.
