Here's the deal :
That switch that the extended **** closes lives in a vary dirty environment,
and is seldom used. This allows crud to build up to a point that the contacts sometimes make a circuit,
and sometimes don't.
What I do is after an oil change, I work out on that **** by pressing it 50-100 times
to slash through the crud before I try the reset procedure. Usually works.
