We have an American car, built in Germany, that fact alone invokes questions of National policies..ie..politics. Fiat...an Italian company buying Chrysler, for example. World politics , affecting our everyday lives, and even with the inclusion of an Off-Topic area of this automobile forum, we are banned, or risk being banned if we discuss, inform, (or argue about) that topic and what we have come to believe from the various media outlets.
~ Maybe, I'm guessing, the rule was made simply to keep folks on an automobile topic here on this forum and that there are plenty of other websites and forums to post political opinions and venting. Off Topic posts about....say..Mandatory Flouridation of public water supplies could be a topic about medical risks or benefits, but, you can bet it even that conversation would turn political and someone would get reprimanded or banned. Not making an opinion on the powers of Forum Moderators, but just stating an observation. WWG1WGA "Q".....Peace
